    Privacy Policy

    This policy explains what information Assista3d collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. In plain language: we ask for as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we delete your uploaded files.

    1. Who we are

    Assista3d is a local 3D-printing marketplace that connects you with independent makers near you. This policy covers the assista3d.com website and the services offered on it. When we say "we," "us," or "Assista3d," we mean Assista3d and its operator, Elijah Peralta.

    2. Information we collect

    We only collect what we need to give you a quote and connect you to a maker:

    • Account details. If you sign in (for example, as a maker), we receive your email address and basic profile info from your chosen sign-in method — Google, GitHub, or a one-time code sent to your email. We never see or store your password for those services.
    • Files you upload. The 3D model files (such as STL files) you upload to get a quote. These are used to calculate your price and, if you proceed, to fulfill your order.
    • Quote and order details. Your material, color, quantity, finish choices, and any notes or messages you send about a print.
    • Contact and delivery info. A name, email, phone number, or delivery address you provide so a maker can reach you or ship your order.
    • Location. A ZIP code or city you enter (or, with your permission, your device location) so we can match you to the nearest maker. You can change or clear this at any time.
    • Payment info. If you pay online, your card details are entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
    • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep the email address you gave us until you unsubscribe.
    • Usage data. Standard, mostly anonymous information about how the site is used — such as pages visited and general device or browser type — to keep the site working and improve it.

    3. How we use your information

    • To generate your instant quote and match you to a local maker.
    • To let a maker fulfill your order and communicate with you about it.
    • To process payments and payouts through Stripe.
    • To send you order updates, quotes, and account or sign-in emails.
    • To send our newsletter, if you asked for it.
    • To protect the site from spam and abuse, and to keep it running and secure.

    We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded files to train machine-learning models.

    4. Your files are deleted

    The 3D model files you upload are stored only as long as needed to quote and complete your order, and are automatically deleted within 30 days. Your designs are yours.

    5. Who we share information with

    We share information only with the makers who fulfill your order and with the trusted service providers that help us run the site. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Our providers include:

    • The maker you're matched with — receives the details needed to quote and produce your order, such as your file, print options, and contact or delivery info.
    • Supabase — account sign-in, database, and file storage.
    • Stripe — payment processing and maker payouts.
    • Cloudflare — website hosting, file storage, and spam/bot protection.
    • Google — sign-in with Google and website analytics.
    • Resend — delivery of transactional and account emails.

    We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Assista3d, our users, or the public.

    6. Cookies and analytics

    We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used through Google Analytics. You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

    7. Your choices and rights

    You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in the email. To make a request, email us at the address below and we'll respond as promptly as we can.

    8. Children

    Assista3d is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

    9. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
